Lonely Island Guys

I just found out about these http://thelonelyisland.com yesterday as I was looking up one of SNL's up and coming cast member Andy Samberg. I have seen his work on SNL for a little while and I wanted to do a little research on the guy. One of my favorite characters he portrays is blizzard man http://www.hulu.com/watch/18879/saturday-night-live-blizzard-man.
After googling his name I saw the group lonely island guys. They are three stand up comedians who founded the group in 2001. They made a pilot show called "Awesometown" and tried selling it to Fox network with no success.
I sat down today and watched the entire pilot episode which highlighted 2 songs and skits that SNL would not accept. I thought the pilot was really funny. My favorite part was a recurring sketch called "Castaways" I think the skit appeared 4 different times throughout the whole pilot. The best one was the contest for the best beard.
The group has a pretty strong showing on youtube. with over 100,000 subscribers. They highlight their videos and shorts for a huge audience, with more than 2,500,000 channel views they have become an Internet phenomenon. They have a song out called "I'm on a boat" hip hop artist T-pain made a guest appearance. I quickly subscribed and am in the process of downloading my favorite songs to my ipod. These guys are really funny if you haven't heard of them check them out.
