what a weekend

     On friday I got the privilege of spending $200.00 at the vet for my doberman mix who had been vomiting since thursday morning.  They did X-rays and a fecal exam and found nothing in either.  I have never heard of this but they said it is probably the doggy flu.  They gave him a shot and said no solid food for 24 hours and he will be good.

     Saturday rolls around and he is still puking everything he would drink or eat.  He puked a total of four times on Saturday, and every-time it was on the carpet so I got a lot of cleaning time in this weekend as well.  Tina and I saw Stepbrothers Saturday night with John Reilly and Will Ferrell that was a pretty good movie I think those two guys work good together.

     Sunday I stayed home from church to tend to my very weak and still sick dog , who has yet to eat anything for about 5 days now.  He refuses to eat ANYTHING and I am now giving him small drinks of salt water to re-hydrate him.  The problem is he wants a huge amount of water and I gave him a good amount this morning and got to clean up another puddle of vomit.  This dog will usually eat anything and everything it is very frustrating as I get to call the vet tomorrow for more tests and less money in my wallet.

     When we got him from a shelter he had worms.  We treated that and I am beginning to think a long-term exposure to the worms is what may be causing this, or he just got into something poisonous while outside.  The highlight of the weekend happened just after my Vikings barely beat Detroit, I heard an NFL commentator say that the Packers cannot make the playoffs.  GO VIKINGS
